TVS Launches the Apache RTX 300 in Italy, and It Undercuts Everything Else in the Class
TVS's cheapest ADV bike just landed in Italy at EUR 4,890 -- and the spec sheet reads like it belongs on something twice the price.
TVS just gave a €4,890 adventure bike to a market that usually treats “affordable ADV” as a contradiction in terms. The Apache RTX 300 has officially launched in Italy, with deliveries starting in November through 150 outlets – and it’s cheap enough that I’ve started doing the currency math on flying it home instead of me. Royal Enfield’s Himalayan 440 already showed that budget ADV bikes can travel well outside their home market; now TVS wants a piece of the same idea in Europe specifically.
The price: two trims, both under €5,300
TVS is offering the RTX 300 in Italy from €4,890, with a fully-equipped variant topping out at €5,290. Both trims share the same 299.1cc liquid-cooled single, making 36 PS and 28.5 Nm through a 6-speed gearbox – entry-level numbers for the segment, but with an equipment list that isn’t entry-level at all.
| Spec | Value |
|---|---|
| Engine | 299.1cc liquid-cooled single |
| Power | 36 PS |
| Torque | 28.5 Nm |
| Gearbox | 6-speed |
| Front wheel | 19-inch, tubeless |
| Rear wheel | 17-inch, tubeless |
| Price (Italy) | €4,890 – €5,290 |
| Availability | November 2026, 150 Italian outlets |
The equipment list punches above the price
Adaptive headlights, a TFT dash with Google Maps mirroring, front and rear suspension you can actually adjust, a slipper clutch, cruise control, a bidirectional quickshifter, traction control and multiple ride modes – on a bike costing less than most rivals’ optional extras package. Add knuckle guards, a windshield and a rear rack, and TVS has built something clearly meant for actual touring, not just a badge to wear around town.
I’ve ridden enough cheap ADVs that felt like a bicycle with delusions to know that a spec sheet this long usually means someone cut a corner I haven’t found yet. I’d still take one out for a proper weekend before believing the whole list.
Why TVS picked Italy, and why that’s a bigger story than one bike
TVS has been building out its European network since partnering with distributor Emil Frey in 2024, and the RTX 300 is TVS’s first adventure bike to join that European lineup – alongside the Apache RR 310, the TVS X electric scooter and the iQube. TVS’s record month back home in India is clearly funding this push outward: the company’s own pitch for the RTX 300 is “Japanese quality, European design, Indian pricing” – and at €4,890, that’s not just a slogan.
