Part of Throttle Times’ live coverage of EICMA 2026.

MV Agusta has pulled the wraps off the MV Agusta Rush Titanio at EICMA in Milan, presenting what the Varese factory claims is the most uncompromising, technologically advanced execution of its four-cylinder hyper-naked platform to date. Strictly limited to a numbered worldwide production run of just 300 units, the Titanio pushes MV Agusta’s drag-strip aesthetic into ultra-luxury territory, commanding the spotlight alongside German hyper-nakeds like the BMW M 1000 RS.

Where previous Rush iterations focused heavily on raw brute force, the Rush Titanio introduces a wholesale revision to its electronics architecture, chassis damping, and mid-range throttle delivery.

998cc Inline-Four With Radial Titanium Valves Pushing 206 HP

The mechanical centerpiece of the Rush Titanio is MV Agusta’s 998cc liquid-cooled inline-four engine, featuring the brand’s signature radial valve arrangement with lightweight titanium intake and exhaust valves. In standard Euro 5+ street-homologated trim, the four-cylinder produces 201 hp at 13,500 rpm and 116 Nm of torque at 11,000 rpm.

However, each of the 300 bikes ships with a dedicated wooden delivery crate containing a road-legal Arrow titanium exhaust system and dedicated ECU map, elevating output to 206 hp at 14,000 rpm. More importantly for real-world road riding, MV Agusta re-profiled the camshafts and redesigned the intake runners to deliver a massive torque bump through the middle of the rev range—yielding an additional 20 Nm and 15 hp at 5,500 rpm compared to outgoing models.

“The Rush Titanio is not just an exercise in exotic materials; it is about bringing usable, devastating precision to a 200-plus horsepower motorcycle,” MV Agusta’s design team stated at the Milan premiere. “With spool-valve electronic suspension and refined gearing, the rider actually commands the power rather than fighting it.”

Debut of Öhlins Smart EC 3.0 Spool-Valve Suspension

Chassis engineering takes a monumental leap with the global production debut of the Öhlins Smart EC 3.0 semi-active suspension system. Unlike traditional needle-valve electronic damping, Smart EC 3.0 utilizes ultra-fast spool valves developed directly in top-tier motorsport, delivering actuator reaction times up to seven times quicker than previous generation systems.

Up front, a 43mm inverted Öhlins NIX fork works in continuous harmony with an Öhlins TTX rear monoshock on an aluminum single-sided swingarm. Damping is regulated in real time by MV Agusta’s Event-Based Control software, which cross-references pitch, roll, and yaw from a six-axis IMU to eliminate chassis wallow under brutal corner-exit acceleration.

Braking is top-drawer Brembo Stylema radial calipers biting twin 320mm floating discs, paired with Continental MK100 Cornering ABS. The iconic rear lenticular carbon-fiber wheel disc returns, enclosing an ultra-light forged aluminum wheel shod in sticky Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP rubber.

The Rider’s Trade-Off: Uncompromising Stance Versus Touring Practicality

Operating a 206 hp Italian hyper-naked with zero windscreen and aggressive drag-bike ergonomics is an exercise in pure visceral theater, but it demands total rider commitment. The forward-canted riding position places heavy pressure on the rider’s wrists below 80 km/h, while the radical slash-cut Arrow exhaust system—though a mechanical work of art—will test the patience of neighborhood associations across Alpine mountain passes. Furthermore, while the world’s first water-repellent Alcantara seat membrane is a triumph of material science, luggage tie-down points are entirely nonexistent on the carbon-fiber tail cowl.

European Pricing and Production Schedule

Aesthetic detailing is dominated by deep Nero Intenso gloss paint, accented with brushed titanium brackets and Blu Titanio anodized fasteners. Production at the Schiranna factory on Lake Varese will begin in July 2026, with European deliveries rolling out sequentially through the autumn.

While final European retail pricing will be confirmed to prospective collectors upon application, brand executives noted that the Rush Titanio will command an MSRP approaching €48,000 including EU taxes. For well-heeled riders comparing exotics against the raw triple punch of the Zontes ZT853-R, the Rush Titanio remains the ultimate collector statement of Italian mechanical extravagance.
